Wow. I was away for a short while and I’ve gotten a TON of comments and opinions about recycling! Seems like people are very passionate about doing it or not doing it. The people who say it’s easy make a good point, I suppose. I thought I had to sort through my trash after it was already in the can, but, apparently, if I have a recycling bin, I just throw it directly in there first! (I feel kind of silly now, I must admit).
Still, the people who say the planet isn’t warming, or that somebody else should just do it…I don’t know, they may have a point, but, it’s pretty clear that they just don’t care. And some people said I was being a pretty typical American by just consuming and not recycling. I never thought I was wasteful, but, I suppose it could be viewed that way. So, now, I’m still very confused. Can anyone give me a clear argument that addresses both sides of this debate, and convince me one way or the other? Looking forward to everyone’s opinions!
